#TuneTuesday theme is #JumpToTheBeat - songs about jumping.

Now let's see if the internet even has the song I'm thinking of... Oh good.

Schtum - Skydiver

I saw these guys play at #FirstAvenue in #Minneapolis back in ~1996, along with like 3 friends and uh... maybe there was some other people there?

REV105 definitely played these guys regularly, but not sure they got much traction elsewhere in the U.S.

I definitely had their "Grow" album on cassette.

"The Laymans had ties to the abolitionist movement, and it was one of the few cemeteries that were not segregated. Some of the plots sold for 50 cents per gravesite, but it also included a “Potter’s Field” where those who died without money or family could be buried. …

"It changed ownership over the years, and was renamed Pioneers and Soldiers Memorial Cemetery in 1928. Today, it’s owned by the city and managed by volunteers."

Good morning from Minneapolis, where it looks like Narnia.

26℉; light snow, fog/mist, and windy (North 26, gusting to 37 mph); visibility ½ mile at MSP.

Just the kind of conditions relished by a cigar-chomping Joe Patroni in the 1970 thriller "Airport," which was filmed here.

Heavy snow has weighed down the white pine branches but they're all still attached and the power line's still up. Thankful for under-performing winds overnight.

NWS Twin Cities: "We`ve seen wind gusts peak in the 45 to 50 mph range along I-90 with gusts in the 35-45mph range elsewhere. Previous forecasts had a stronger core of wind gusts, upwards of 55 mph, that likely accounts for slightly "better" conditions this morning. However, we`ve seen rain changeover to snow late yesterday afternoon across portions of central and east-central Minnesota and yesterday evening for far eastern & south-central Minnesota and western Wisconsin. While the winds may be under performing, the snow hasn`t. Several inches of snow has fallen across these locations so far."

hey if i havent been clear about it, im still job hunting too. im a fullstack software developer with a decade of experience, and am eager to start a role that is, in order of preference, remote, seattle, or minneapolis. most of my experience is in php/js, with six of those years also heavily involving project management and mentoring. but i am very flexible on what the role is; i am a fast learner, i will take entry level in any tech stack if it keeps me housed.

if you are in a position to give me a referral or recommendation within your company and want to help me out, DM me further info. i can then then apply online or pass along a resume.

thank you
