"Baby, It's Cold Outside" is a #popularSong written by #FrankLoesser in 1944 and popularized in the 1949 film #NeptunesDaughter. While the lyrics make no mention of a holiday, it is commonly regarded as a #ChristmasSong owing to its winter theme. The song was released in eight recordings in 1949—including well-known versions by #EllaFitzgerald and #LouisJordan, #HotLipsPage and #PearlBailey, and by #DeanMartin.

… and many more who played this New Orleans standard, maybe written by Bob Shad and first recorded by James Waynes in 1951.

Cheers!
